Just a few days back, we posted on Merge Blog that you could build wireframes with AI and then import them in Wix Studio, but now the process has gotten easier and better!
The Wix Studio team wanted to leave the year on a high note, and leave on a high note, they did!
Why the need for a new approach?
The previous solution was cumbersome because it required various steps to complete as it required three steps:
Build the Wireframes in Relume.
Import them to Figma.
Import Figma wireframes and sitemap to Wix Studio.
Not only did the process require three steps, but you also had to pay extra for Relume for the wireframes.
Also, considering there were three steps to this process, you were at the mercy of the integrations. Any change to any part of the step would break your workflow and affect how well things perform.
This new approach provides a better experience as it does not jump between different applications and is easier to manage on the wallet because you won't pay extra for subscriptions.
So, let's see how well this approach works in the new Sitemap and Wireframes feature in Wix Studio!
Building Sitemap and Wireframes Directly in Wix Studio
Go to Wix Studio and click "Create New Site". You will notice a new option called "Studio sitemap & wireframes."
Let's stick to a developer portfolio website based on the previous blog. Fill out the form and click "Start Generating".
That's it! The wireframes and sitemap are ready!
The new process is more straightforward and, in my opinion, much better as it provides a great starting point for the website.
I will probably use these features, such as building templates for Wix Marketplace or my portfolio. I think the most common use case would be to show an initial draft to clients for their website by quickly building wireframes and adding content.
